Luxury Cruise Line Silversea “A Butler With Every Cabin”
You know you’re on the top suite of a luxury cruise ship if there’s a butler to attend to your needs. — Well at least that was the old rule of thumb. Luxury line Silversea Cruises announced that the company is planning to roll out a personal butler for passengers in every cabin on every ship.
“Each butler, assisted by a suite attendant, is empowered to troubleshoot problems and provide special service touches, if desired . . . for example unpacking and packing clothing, facilitating a dry cleaning request or preparing a scented Jacuzzi bath,” says Christian Sauleau, Silversea’s executive vice president for fleet operations.
Butler services are already offered on Silversea’s top cabin on its ships; which includes Royal, Grand, and owner’s Suites.
Roll Out Schedule
- Silver and Medallion Suite between May 7 and June 7
- Prince Albert II on September 21
- Silver Cloud on October 9
- Silver Shadow on December 2
Currently under construction is the Silver Spirit, which will also have butler service when it debut in December.
