The International Finance Corporation (IFC) partnered with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) for its cohort of the Green, Social and Sustainability (GSS) Bonds training. This globally distinctive executive training programme, focused on GSS bond issuance, took place in Luxembourg during the week of 22 October 2023.

Bridging the knowledge gap in French-speaking African countries
In 2024, IFC launched an initiative to establish a dedicated education platform on sustainable finance specifically tailored to French speaking African countries – the Sustainable Finance Knowledge Center/Centre d'excellence pour la finance durable pour l'Afrique.
While the African continent holds immense potential for sustainable growth, limited access to knowledge in French remains a significant obstacle for both the financial and non-financial sector in the region. This knowledge gap limits sustainable development and growth which can strongly impact the fight against climate change and the adaptation to its consequences.
