Regulatory Affairs Trainee (m/f) - Capital MarketsInternship (6 months)

Tasks/missions
- Conduct research on legal and regulatory issues linked to capital markets (including MiFID II/R, Market Abuse Regulation, Prospectus Regulation, Transparency Directive, Benchmarks Regulation, Central Securities Depositories Regulation, Sustainable and Digital Finance frameworks, along with related delegated and implementing acts at the European and national level)
- Follow developments in the international, European and domestic legal framework to anticipate changes that could impact LuxSE’s current activities, and find new business opportunities
- Provide support in developing new services and products in line with applicable law and regulations
- Support the Head and Officers of the Department in advocacy efforts, such as responding to consultations and preparing position papers, in particular via industry associations
- Support the Head and Officers of the Department to maintain a proactive dialogue with local, European and international Authorities
- Participate in internal business/project steering committees and working groups
- Draft and review internal policies and regulations
Operating Network
The Regulatory Affairs Trainee will report to the Head of Listing and Regulatory Affairs and will work in close cooperation with the different operational teams, including the Business Development, Listing, Luxembourg Green Exchange and Markets & Surveillance Departments, to ensure regulatory compliance of LuxSE’s activities and to seek business opportunities.
Profile
- University degree or equivalent certification in Law (or close to graduation)
- At least six months (internship) experience working or consulting in relevant fields of expertise, ideally gained in a law firm or a consulting firm
- Experience with digital and sustainable finance regulation, gained through research or while working/previous internship(s) would be an advantage
- Basic technical knowledge and keen interest in capital markets regulation (please see topics listed under point 1. above)
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and ideally also in French
- High sense of responsibility, organisation, initiative and problem solving approach
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
