Stops on bearer securities

If you have been involuntarily deprived of a Luxembourg or foreign bearer security, you may request to place a stop on this security with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) as an organisme de centralisation des oppositions sur titres au porteur.
If you are a holder of cancelled bearer shares or units, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) as an organisme de centralisation des oppositions sur titres au porteur can issue a confirmation of no stop requested by the Caisse de Consignation.
What is a bearer security?
A bearer security is a type of financial instrument for which no ownership record is kept. The holder of the physical proof of the share or bond is considered the rightful owner and is entitled to the benefits. A bearer security is admitted to trading without a concrete record of the person or legal entity that owns it. However, the individual or legal entity that is listed as the holder of the bearer security in question is its assumed owner.
