Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee
Carlo Thelen is a member of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) and the President of its Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Mr Thelen is Director General of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce which he joined in 1996 as an Economic Advisor before going on to join the Executive Committee in 2003. The following year, Mr Thelen became the Director of International Affairs before being nominated for the role of Director General in 2014. Until 2019, he was also the Chief Economist of the Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Thelen represents the Chamber of Commerce in different working groups and councils in Luxembourg institutions and holds a master's degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
In addition to his economic expertise, Carlo Thelen has extensive experience in commercial and economic advocacy as he regularly participates in economic missions abroad where he promotes the Luxembourg economy and businesses.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Luxembourg as well as an author of a number of academic publications in the field of international, banking and tax law, as well as literary short stories.

Mr Kinsch has a career spanning 25 years, which started at Arthur Andersen. In 2002, Mr Kinsch joined EY Luxembourg before becoming a Partner in 2004. A specialist in Private Equity, Mr Kinsch founded and led the EY Private Equity practice. He also led the Private Equity fund practice for EY in EMEIA.
Before becoming President of LuxSE, Mr Kinsch was the Country Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg and a member of several EY European regional leadership teams and committees.

He started his career at Dexia-BIL and moved on to Spuerkees, Luxembourg before coming back to BIL.
Mr Dentzer holds a degree in Economics and Business Management from the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Surrey European Management School, England.
Prior to taking on his current position of CEO of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), Mr Dentzer occupied different senior management positions within BIL, including Deputy CEO, Chief of Luxembourg Market and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, Head of Large Corporates and Structured Finance and Head of Institutional Banking.
He started his career at Dexia-BIL and moved on to Spuerkees, Luxembourg before coming back to BIL.

Mr Surdon is Managing Director of Société Générale Luxembourg.
He joined Societe Generale Group in 1995, where he worked in the Real Estate department until 2000 before joining the structured financing team. In 2004, he became Deputy Head for Continental Europe and US for the structured financing, then Head for the same perimeter in 2006.
From 2008 to 2013, he was COO of the Global Finance’s division (worldwide) when he was then appointed as Global Head of Export Finance. Since 2019, Mr Surdon is a member of Société Générale Luxembourg’s Board of Director and is also the Global Head of Asset Finance since 2023.
He holds a MBA from ESSEC and in Civil Engineering from ESTP.
